"Our mission at Equatability Equality Training
is to help create a society in which disabled people can participate
fully, and on an equal footing with people without disabilities".

Whilst physical access is a barrier
to this, an equally significant barrier is people's attitudes.
Often these attitudes arise because people don't know how to interact
with disabled people and are nervous of "saying the wrong thing". We
believe that through education and training this lack of understanding
and confidence can be overcome and attitudinal barriers removed.
To this end we provide training in Disability Equality and meeting both
the letter and spirit of the Disability Discrimination
Act. We operate in the wider context of equality, based
on the principle that everyone can contribute meaningfully to society
when they are in an environment which enables, rather than disables them.
We also offer a range of Independent
Living training solutions for disabled people to empower
them to live with Personal Assistants/Carers.
Our training is user centered and we will work with
you to ensure that the training we provide is tailored to maximise
the outcomes for your organisation.
